Nominations for the Irish Restaurant Awards are now officially closed after two weeks of nominations from loyal customers and dedicated foodies. With nearly 30,000 nominations, this year’s awards are shaping up to be very exciting indeed! With thanks to our new media partner The Irish Times, online nominations exceeded last year’s by far (19,000 nominations were received in 2014).

Three nominators will be chosen at random in the coming days to each win a fantastic 2 night getaway (see here for prize details)

Nominees will be notified in the coming weeks by post of which category/categories they have qualified for. The nominees will compete in the upcoming regional awards (March/April) for the county winner titles – the county winners will then go on to compete for the All Ireland Awards (25th May, the DoubleTree by Hilton, Dublin).

A huge thank you to everyone who nominated and to all the restaurants and chefs who have been tirelessly promoting themselves over the last couple of weeks – best of luck to you all!
