Our new charity partner: The Marie Keating Foundation
The RAI are delighted to announce that we will be working with our new charity partner The Marie Keating Foundation.
The Marie Keating Foundation provides much needed help, including both financial and emotional support, to those affected by cancer. They receive no government funding and therefore rely solely on the kindness of benefactors. They are a leading voice for cancer awareness in Ireland – “making cancer less frightening by enlightening”
We are excited to support the foundation in all of the fantastic work they do, especially as they solely rely on donations. As part of this new partnership, we will be raising money for them at the Irish Restaurant Awards, as well as the RAI Benevolent Fund (supporting people from the hospitality & catering industry who, through no fault of their own, have fallen on hard times).
A raffle will take place on the night of the awards for all 800+ guests and we expect to raise thousands thanks these generous restaurateurs. We are however still appealing for more raffle prizes so if your restaurant/business can donate anything, whether it’s a bottle of wine, an afternoon tea, a dinner for two or a weekend away, anything at all will be greatly appreciated. All contributors will of course be mentioned on the night of the awards.
If you wish to donate to these great causes by supplying a raffle prize, please email media@rai.ie or simply post a voucher to Restaurants Association of Ireland, 11 Bridge Court, Citygate, St Augustine Street, Dublin 8
We look forward to working with the Marie Keating Foundation on future fundraising projects too. To see more about the foundation please visit their website www.mariekeating.ie
Many thanks for your support
